From 30th July to 1st
August, 2014, the PPA’s senior delegation led by Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr
Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy visited and exchanged experiences in
training at the Ton Duc Thang University, the People’s Police University, the
People’s Security University and the University
of Natural Sciences - National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).

To celebrate 69-year traditional day of the
Public Security force (19th August, 1945 - 19th August, 2014),
36 leaders and former leaders of the PPA and units within the Academy through
periods were awarded the Fatherland Defense Order 3rd Class by the
President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for outstanding achievements in
training and servicing the fight; building the force; keeping the political
security, social order and safety; contributing to the cause of socialist development
and national defense.

Within the framework of cooperation with
the Royal Thai Police, on 30th July, 2014, the PPA welcomed 181
students of Thai police superintendent course led by Major General Sommai Kanjanabha,
Head of the Police College, the Royal Thai Police Education Bureau to visit and
work in Vietnam. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Major General,
Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA and leaders of functional units
of the Academy.

Under the framework of cooperation on
education between People's Police Academy of Vietnam and the Royal Thai Police Academy,
the PPA delegation led by Major General Pham Ngoc Ha, Vice President visited and
worked with the Royal
Thai Police
Academy between the date
of 14th-18th July, 2014. The PPA delegation was received
formally by Lieutenant General Sudka Techakiengkrai, President of the Royal Thai
Police Academy.

Under the invitation of General Tran
Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, the Delegation of Sri Lanka
Ministry of Law and Order led by Major General Nanda Mallawaarachchi, the Secretary
to the Ministry of Law and Order of Sri Lanka visited and worked at the PPA.

On July 24th, 2014, the PPA
held the Conference to sum up the results of the academic year 2013 - 2014,
implement the task in new school year 2014 - 2015 and the periodic Party
meeting in 2014.

On 28th
July, the PPA held a ceremony on announcing decision of ranking and salary
promotion for nearly 200 police officers and staffs who are currently working for
the Academy. Attending and presiding the ceremony was Major General, Prof.Dr
Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the PPA, leadership representatives of the
functional units within the PPA and all of promoted officers to be presented at
the Ceremony.

On 25th July, 2014, on the occasion
of celebrating 67th anniversary of War Invalid and Martyrs Day (27th
July, 1947 – 27th July, 2014), delegation of the PPA’s Labour Union,
led by Major Hoang Thi Lien, Chairwoman of Labour Union of the PPA visited and presented
gifts for families of war invalids, sick soldiers and relatives of the martyr’s
at the functional units within the Academy.

On May 28th, at headquarter
of the PPA, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy
had the meeting with the delegation of Executive Board of International Law
Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Thailand led by Mr. Federik Stolper, Acting President
of the ILEA. Participating the ILEA’s delegation were General Monthon
Ngernwattana, Royal Thai Police; Mr. Thomas W.Eckert, Security Attaché of the
United States Embassy and Mr. Tomas A.Mandl, official of Political Section of
U.S. Embassy in Vietnam.

The State will prioritize investments to assist education facilities nationwide in realizing the universalization of education and eradication of illiteracy, according to Decree 20/2014/ND-CP which is scheduled to take effect since May 15.

On May 29th, the PPA was solemnly held the
Conference for summarizing 12 years of training by high quality model under the
chairmanship of Major General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the
Academy.

On 22nd May, the PPA held the special talk
on “Role of Buddhism in Vietnam in the cause of building and defending country”
for all officials, lecturers and students by Venerable Dr. Thich Chon Thien -
Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the
Central Buddhist Institution of Vietnam, member of the 13th National Assembly who
talked about the process that Buddhism was introduced and developed in Vietnam.

In the
framework of cooperation with the Office of the Australian Federal Police (AFP),
on 26th May, 2014, the trainees of 34th Asia Region Law Enforcement
Management Program (ARLEMP) had the presentation at the PPA. Joining the
presentation were numerous officials and lecturers of the faculties, departments
and divisions within the PPA.

In the emulation
atmosphere to welcome the important ceremonies in historical May of the nation
as well as celebrating 46 years of the PPA’s founding day (May 15th, 1968 -
2014), on May 26th, 2014, the PPA inaugurated the cultural and sports park for
the officers and students of the Academy.

On 15th May, the PPA held the Ceremony on presenting the Doctor
Degree Certificate in 2014.
