On February 27th,
2014, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA had a
courtesy meeting with Major General Chris McDevitt, Senior Liaison Officer-Chief
of the Australian Federal Police Office (AFP) in Vietnam.

Under the direction of the leadership of the Ministry of
Public Security on enhancing the movement “Public Security Forces learns and
follows the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh", on March 6th,
2014, the PPA held the conference to implement the moral example of President Ho
Chi Minh on ideology "Raising high the spirit of responsibility,
anti-individualism, talking along with doing”.

In 2008, with the consent of the leaders of the
Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the PPA signed the Memorandum of Understanding
on cooperation in training and scientific research with the Royal Police Cadet
Academy (RPCA). One of the important cooperative contents was that the two Academies
would exchange the training for police students of higher education system with
a period of 5 years (including 01 years to learn Thai). In 2009, after the two Academies
discussed and agreed with the contents of cooperation, the MPS decided to send
04 students of the PPA (the high quality class) to the RPCA. These students
were selected from those who had excellent scores at the entrance examination.

In the cheerful atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, on
March 06th, the PPA was solemnly held the Meeting to celebrate 104th
anniversary of International Women's Day, summarize work of Women's Union in
2013 and implement working program in 2014 under the chairmanship of Major
General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy.

On February 24th,
at the PPA, the Party Committee of the Student Management Department held the
opening 1st Contest of excellent secretary of Party Institutions
within the Party Institutions of Students of the PPA in 2014.

On the occasion of the 59th anniversary of
Vietnam Doctor's Day (February 27th, 1955 - February 27th,
2014), on February 27th, 2014, the Representatives of Party
Committee, Directorate Board, officials and students of the PPA congratulated
doctors, nurses and orderlies who are working for the Medical Center of the
Academy.

On February 25th, 2014, the high-ranking Delegation
from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of the State of Israel led by H.E.
Lieutenant General Yitzhak Aharonovitch, Minister of Public Security of Israel visited and worked with the PPA. Attending
the reception were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of
the PPA; Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA; Major
General Tran Gia Cuong, Director of Department of International Cooperation;
leaders of functional units within the PPA.

During 13th
and 14th, February, 2014, the PPA attended the 12th
Vietnam Poetry Festival 2014 with many exciting and impressive activities. In contests
of poetry and art performances, the PPA was honored to be awarded the first
prize.

In spite of the
rainy weather, on February 16th, a lot of PPA students were present
at the My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi)
to join in the Red Spring Festival 2014. With many significant activities such
as blood donation, dance, arts performance, the PPA students brought dramatic
impression to the festival.

After a week of
exchanging and working at the PPA related to the project for establishment of
the E-library at the PPA, on February 21st, the PPA and the Korea
International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) agreed to sign the Record of Discussion
on the projects.

On February
17th, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the
PPA and Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy had a
Meeting with the Survey Team of Korean International Cooperation Agency in
Vietnam (KOICA) on the implementation of the project for establishment e-library
at the PPA. Attending the Meeting were Representatives of relevant units such as
Center of Scientific Information and Academic Materials, Project Management
Department, Logistics Department, etc.

In
the framework of cooperation with the British Embassy in Hanoi and the National
Crime Agency (NCA), on February 17th, 2014, the PPA and the British
Embassy in Hanoi held the Opening Ceremony for Anti-money laundering training
workshop at the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel.

On
the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2014, the PPA held series of significant
cultural activities such as Tet tree-planting festival, New Year meetings,
Calligraphy Giving, etc. These activities not only created cheerful atmosphere
to welcome the Lunar New Year 2014 but also encouraged the officers, teachers
and students of the PPA to fulfill successfully the assigned duties in the academic
year 2013-2014.

From 15th to 17th
January, 2014, at the PPA, General Department of Building up Force - MPS held
specialized training course on evaluating training quality for Police Training Institutions
in the northern part of Vietnam.

Implementing the working program of the
Associated Youth Union Branches of Specialty of Administration on Social Order
and Safety in term of 2013-2014 as well as celebrating the establishment of the
Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, on January 16th, 2014, the
Associated Youth Union Branches of Specialty of Administration on Social Order and Safety held
the Seminar: “Career orientation and exchanging good experience in learning
specialized subjects for the third-year students of Specialty of Administration
on Social Order and Safety” under the chairmanship of Major General, Dr. Dang
Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA.
