On
16th April, 2013, People’s Police Academy held an opening ceremony of the 2nd
further training course on police leadership in 2013.

On 11th April 2013, the PPA’s Party held a meeting of the
Party Executive Committee and its branches with the presence of Major General,
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Director of the PPA, the
Party Committee Inspection Commission, PPA’s Party Committee Office as well as
leaders of party cells within the PPA Party Executive Committee.

On 1st
April 2013, the PPA held a ceremony to review the 5-year implementation of
05/CT direction on learning from President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example of the Ministry of Public Security and the
2-year campaign “People security abides by
regulation, builds cultural lifestyle to serve people”.

On 1st April, 2012, PPA has been praised and awarded for
lecturers and students who won “Vietnam Young Science Talent Contest 2012”
organized by the Ministry or Education and Training, “Scientific Research
Students 2012” organized by the PPA and “Writing Scientific Topics of Students
2012” launched by the Ministry of Public Security.

On 4th, April, 2013, the PPA
Steering Committee of Blood Donation Campaign in cooperation with the National
Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the 19-8 Hospital under the MPS
launched the blood donation campaign with the title “Sentimental blood for
beloved comrades”.

On 21st
March, 2013, in Ha Noi, Lieutenant General Bui Quang Ben, member of Central
Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Public
Security and Director of the PPA welcomed the KOICA’s delegation led by Mr. Kim
In, chief representative of KOICA in Viet Nam to discuss feasibility of the
project “Construction of Electronic Library at the PPA.

Aiming to strengthen emulation movements to welcome the Youth Month and celebrating the 45th founding anniversary of the PPA as well, on 26th March, 2013, the Youth Union of the PPA held a ceremony marking the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s 82th founding anniversary.

As a part of cooperative program between the Vietnamese Ministry of
Public Security and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as
cooperative schedule of the PPA and the Moscow University, between 20th
to 28th, February 2013, the PPA delegation led by Major General,
Prof.Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the PPA visited officially some training
units within the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs to discuss cooperative
measures on police training and scientific research between both sides.

In the framework of international cooperation in the
field of education and training between the People's Police Academy and the
Australian Federal Police, on 28th, March, 2013, with the support
and collaboration of the Office of the Australian Federal Police in Hanoi, the
Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) to the introduction
and presentation of the Australian Government's scholarship program is now
available to all candidates Vietnam, including Vietnamese Police Force in
general, and all of lecturer and students of the PPA in particular.

Established in 1968 with the
title of “People police school” at Ba Vi district, Ha Tay province, after 45
years of building and developing, the PPA is becoming a high-quality police
training academy of the Ministry of Public Security and the country. To gain

Within the framework of international
cooperation between the People's Police Academy and the international
consulting agencies and non-governmental organizations related to the training
law enforcement forces, Australia, on 24 January 2013 at the PPA, on behalf of
the Directorate, Major General Prof. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President, also heads of
functional units of the Academy warmly welcomed Mr. Alan McCagh, CEO and general
manager for international cooperation programs in the field of Justice and
Security (Coffey International Development, Australia).

In
the framework of international cooperation program 2012 of the Ministry of Public Security. Implementing the Memorandum
cooperation between the PPA and the Royal Thai Police Academy. The high delegation of the Royal Thai Police Academy led by Major
General Dr. Wisit Empraneat, Deputy Director of the RTPA visited and worked with the PPA from 18th
to Dec, 23rd 2012.

On 23 January 2013, Major General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of
the PPA worked with Colonel Richard Terry, former head of the liaison officer
of the Australian Federal Police’s Office (AFP) and welcomed Commander
Christopher McDevitt, new senior liaison of the office.

Under the
cooperation treaty between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the
Palestinian Ministry of Interior, the PPA held a solemn opening ceremony of
professional course for police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Palestine.

The fifth ‘Red Sunday’ blood drive which was held by Tien Phong (Pioneer) Newspaper and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion at the Vietnam National University in Hanoi and ThaiNguyen University on January 20. More than 1,400 young people donated over 1,000 blood units during this year’s event.
