On 24th December, 2013, the PPA
held Preliminary Conference on one-year cooperation among the Academy, the General
Department and the High Command of Ministry of Public Security including General Department of Police for Crime Prevention and Suppression;
General Department of Police for Administrative
Management of Social Order and Safety; General
Department of Police for Sentence Execution and Legal Assistance; High
Command of Mobile Police.

On December 20th,
the PPA held the meeting on implementing
the results of the 69th National Public Security Conference and summarizing
the Party’s work in the first term of school year of 2013 - 2014.

On 13th December, the Youth
Union of the PPA held the Conference on implementing the Emulation Movement
“Good teaching, good study and good practice” for the Youth Union members of
the PPA. Attending the Conference were Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice
President of the PPA; leaders of some related Departments within the Academy;
the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the PPA; the Executive Committees
of the Associated Youth Union Branches and Secretaries of the Youth Union Branches
of the Academy.

On December 13th,
2013, at the PPA’s Headquarters, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem,
President of the PPA had a courtesy meeting with Professor Clive Walker from
the University of Leeds of the United Kingdom. The leaders of the Academy
Office, the Centre for Criminology and some other relevant Departments of the
PPA were also attended the event.

On December 11th, the
Department of Foreign Languages of the PPA held the career-oriented Seminar
on the theme: “Future career for English language students of the PPA” in order
to encourage learning motivation for students of Specialty of English language for
Police of the PPA as well as improve the quality of teaching and learning
foreign languages at the Academy in the integration period.

In the evening
of 3rd December, 2013, the PPA of Vietnam formally held the cultural
exchange night in honour of celebrating the 40 years of Vietnamese-Japanese
diplomatic relationship.

On December 2nd,
the PPA formally celebrated the 38-year anniversary of National Day of Laos PDR
(December 2nd, 1975 – December 2nd, 2013) and received
the Order of Labor, the Order of Friendship of the President of Laos PDR for the
PPA officials.

On 10th
December, 2013, Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA
worked with some of Korean companies on training program for security guards for
enterprises. Attending the meeting were representatives from some of the Korean
companies as: INTOPS Co. Ltd, SUNG_JIN Co. Ltd, SHINHAN Co. Ltd, ECOS Co. Ltd,
J-ONE Co. Ltd, GMIE Co. Ltd, MOA_TECH Co. Ltd, M-TECH Co. Ltd and YOUNG_IN Co.
Ltd; representatives of Student Management Department, Martial Art and Military
Training Subject, Armed Police Faculty, International Cooperation Department
and the PPA’s Office.

On 10th
December, the PPA held formally the opening ceremony for postgraduate training program
in 2013.

In the framework of the project "Strengthening
of capacity of training traffic police in the People's Police Academy and
police training institutions", on 3rd December, 2013, Lieutenant General,
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA received the delegation of National
Police of Japan. Attending the meeting were the Japan International Cooperation
Agency (JICA), representatives of the Academy Office, the Traffic Police
Department, the Research
Center for Traffic Safety
and the International Cooperation Department of the PPA.

In the framework of the project “Strengthening
traffic police training in the PPA and other police training institutions in
Vietnam”, on December 5th, 2013, at the PPA, the Academy and the Office
of JICA Vietnam jointly held the Exchange Program on ensuring traffic safety
and order - the experience of Japan and Vietnam.

On November 29th, at the PPA Headquarter
in Hanoi, the PPA in collaboration with Public Security Department of Phu Tho
Province formally held the Closing Ceremony on the 2nd in-service alliance
training course opened at Public Security Department of Phu Tho Province,
school year 2008 - 2013.

In order to propagandize,
educate and raise the awareness of public security force in general and the
officers, lecturers, students of the PPA in particular in preventing HIV/AIDS,
on November 28th, at the PPA, the Ministry of Public Security held the
meeting to respond to the World AIDS Day and launching National Action Month
for HIV/AIDS prevention in 2013.

On November 9th,
the PPA and Hanoi Metropolitan Public Security Department have organized the Conference
to sum up 5-year of implementing the M.O.U of cooperation between 2 sides in
training staff and ensuring public safety and order in the new situation.
